Safe Environment

We take the safety of children and the parish community very seriously. In accordance with the Diocese of Fort Worth, Safe Environment training certification is required to volunteer at service events.

Please contact Laura Stephens to learn more about the program and be kept up-to-date with your training. The initial training lasts about 3 hours. Safe Environment training certification must be renewed every 2 years by attending the 1.5-hour renewal training or another 3 hour session. Sessions can be found and scheduled here. The required VIRTUS profile can also be created there.

In addition to Safe Environment training, there are also required forms that need to be filled out, printed, and submitted to Laura prior to volunteering:

Authorization of Release of Information for Background Check

Code of Conduct & Behavior Standards for All Clergy, Religious and Lay Ministers

To handle money, such as donations during events, a credit check must be successfully conducted. If you intend to handle any money, please contact Laura for more information.
